Also check the rollers.
Garage door opener rail bows down.
I believe there will always be a slight bowing as the pushing and pulling of the door exerts pressure on the rail.
Open the door by hand and when it is at its peak measure it and make sure the bottom of the rail clears by 1.
If you re too far away this can cause a problem with opening or closing the door.
Thus the problem with the opener moving and the door not.
See the section in your manual titled position the opener when the door is fully opened the opener rail should be max 2 above the edge of the top section.
The front of the opener should only bearly clear the door when it is at its peak going around the curved part of the track.
Firstly check that you re using it within the range required for your opener.
If it is too high then the draw bar arm that pushes the door is at too much of a down angle and instead of pushing forward it pushes more down.
Also verify the antenna on the motor unit is in the proper placement.
Normally it s only about an inch or so.
You may also need to reprogram your keypad or replace the batteries in it.

The tracks might be bent or loose causing the rollers to bind.
My gdo rail bows slightly when opening and closing as well.
It s illustrated in the chamberlain manual under installation.
Second the opener should be lower.
My only suggestion is the ensure that the door operates properly and easily without the gdo and then re connect the door.
Go to your local home improvement store and buy some angle iron and lower the power head.
